End-of-Line Solutions for Black Soldier Fly Larvae from Alvibra
Alvibra is an innovative and customer-oriented supplier of various machines and solutions including product screening, conveying, handling and feeding. Alvibra also deliver other types of product transporting systems, with all machines designed and manufactured in Denmark.
Since 2020, Alvibra has developed and tested methods for buffering, feeding, screening and washing new sustainable, bio organic protein sources of primarily fly larvae.

Delivering High Capacity Take-Away Lines
The below illustration shows the delivery of a high capacity feeding, screening, buffering and frass take-away line – including reduction of air-borne dust for a successful and safe environment.
This dual line concept ensures high redundancy and flexibility with lower down-time due to cleaning and maintenance.
- A sufficient and well controlled infeed is an important first step – the vibratory BSFL feeders spreads and levels the flow for increased screening efficiency.
- The stainless triple fraction sifters are not just standard sifters, but specifically designed for BSFL by operating with unique amplitudes, angles, frequencies developed over years of experience with BSFL screening. Screen designs and execution are carefully chosen depending on how the customer grows and handles the larvaes.
- Access ramp and platform ensure safe working space for the operators and the cleaning teams, conveniently positioned between the 2 lines.
- Take-Away frass conveyors bring frass and lumps away from the sifters.
- The dust/air-evacuation system is controlled directly from the access platform as well. Each air-suctioning hood is lowered and raised thru the remote wireless panels. It is illustrated here in not-active up-position (and in lowered active position above the other line). Air suction on or off is controlled by the customers automation system and if dust-filters are blocked a signal is given.

An end-of-line installation handling 7-8 tph of mixed BSFL and frass in total. The BSFL sifters include oversize lumps removal, a continuous screen cleaning system for reducing build-up and a quick-release system for fast and easy screen removal.
